A Night on Broadway
Toronto, Ontario, Canada — May 6-7, 2022
An Intimate Evening, A Night on Broadway
On May 6th, Friday evening, 16-time Grammy winner David Foster kicked-started the weekend with the Founders’ Night at the Prime Grill at Hotel X Toronto, an invitation-only evening beginning with cocktails followed by a grazing supper. The casual yet classy invitation-only event for the largest two-hundred donors and supporters of the David Foster Foundation featured an evening’s attire of jeans and jewels.
I am so excited to bring A Night On Broadway to Toronto in support of the David Foster Foundation. My favourite part of the evening is the Sponsor a Family campaign. 100% of the funds raised goes directly to our families who have a child going through the life-saving organ transplant process. Please talk to your guests and consider making a difference by sponsoring families this year.
— David Foster
David personally introduced and spoke about only four people from the stage at the VIP event. He introduced his wife, Katherine McPhee Foster, the gentleman who owns the beautiful Hotel X Toronto, Al Unser, Jr., and Ralph Hansen, Jr.
David asked Al to stand in recognition as a two-time Indy 500 winner after talking about how excited they were to be a part of Future Star Racing and Wings And Wheels Foundation. David, his wife, and Mike Ravenhill (CEO of The David Foster Foundation) gave Al a warm standing ovation.
Saturday, May 7th, began with a black-tie formal red carpet arrival and cocktail reception, followed by an introduction and dinner, visionary awards, speeches, family story, sponsor a family, and a live auction, before capping the evening off with A Night on Broadway live concert.
David shared some behind-the-scenes stories of more than four decades of producing some of the greatest music icons of all time through his evening around the piano, up close and personal.
Wings & Wheels Foundation Auction Item
The Gala for a thousand fans presented an opportunity to bid on the Wings & Wheels Foundation auction item > The Need For Speed at the 2023 INDY 500, which raised $65,000. In all, A Night On Broadway raised over 11 million dollars to benefit children and families in need.
